Since I tend to update this blog with multiple posts at a time it is always nice to end a long writing session listening to some good Reggae music. Today I’ve go this new Tarrus Riley on repeat, “Liv Up” on the Zion Train Riddim. For those who are not familiar with his work Tarrus Riley has been one of the most important voices in Reggae music over the last ten years or so. You could even argue that his anthem “She’s Royal” briefly inspired a resurgence of Lover’s Rock Reggae during a period in which traditional Reggae was in a decline. If your not familiar with him do yourself a favour and look up his entire discography. On “Liv Up” Tarrus is back with his characteristic singing voice and lyrics that attempt to inspire the listener to work hard and live a good life.
